Oxford Town & Gown 10 Km Run, Sunday May 16th 2010.

On Sunday May 16th Tom Davis, Chris Greatbanks, Jonathan Hillier, Gary Bayliss and Stuart Gore are entering the Oxford Town & Gown 10K run to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

One of our close friends, Steven Chandler has recently lost both his parents to cancer and we would like to dedicate our efforts to not only to Steve but also to his mum and dad.

Voted one of the best road races in the UK, the Oxford Town & Gown is a fast and unique charity fun run which allows you to pace the closed streets of Oxford city centre, passing historic buildings and ending in the beautiful University parks. The event has a great atmosphere and if you are not busy on the day itself then come along and cheer us on.......we might need the support.

More information about the event can be found here:

We completed the course physically drained, exhausted and tired in nine hours, at 7:30am on 18th April 2010.

Many thanks for all your support and sponsorship.  My father would have been very proud.

You can still donate by clicking the link on the left (the Justgiving one with Shine 2010 underneath it.)

Shine: Manchester 2010, In Memory Of Roy Anthony Chandler

Steven Chandler, Tom Davis, Chris Hillier and Chris Greatbanks are going to walk 26 miles around Manchester on the 17th April 2010 starting at 10pm for Cancer Research UK.  The event has been organised by the charity.  More details can be found here: http://shine.cancerresearchuk.org/  This twenty six mile walk is to raise money for Cancer Research UK and also in remembrance of my father Roy Anthony Chandler, who passed away from cancer on March 11th 2010.  May he rest in peace.

Sponsorship and Donations

If you are able to help in any way, please feel free to contribute to our cause, we are aiming to raise £500 for Cancer Research UK.  There are several way to do this, but perhaps the easiest is to use the JustGiving link on the left.  JustGiving allows you to donate directly to the charity, and also allows the charity to claim back "gift aid" if you are a UK resident.  Please help us reach our target- all donations, large or small are most gratefully accepted.

Our Facebook Group

You can show your support and add messages of support at our Facebook group also.  You will need to hold a Facebook account, but it is free and easy to join.  Please click the button on the tab on the left.
